So if Susan E. Jones is just Susan E. Jones, and Matlack ≠ Matlock, then who is Matlack? Matlack is Susan's maiden name, and she added the title to her company in honor of her father, Jack Matlack, who was prominent in the Portland advertising community for many years, and who, as Executive Director of the Portland Advertising Federation, got Susan into non-profit bookkeeping. Today, Susan Matlack Jones & Associates has eleven employees and is located in the historic Old Town Chinatown neighborhood of Portland.
