Value Partners has been investing in Asia for more than two decades, underpinned by one of the largest Greater China-focus investment teams in the region. Listed in Hong Kong in 2007, Value Partners is the first asset manager listed in the city. In addition to the Hong Kong headquarters, the company has presence in Singapore, China, Taiwan and United Kingdom. In July 2014, Value Partners Asset Management Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“VPAMS”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Value Partners, was established as the firm's new legal entity in Singapore, strengthening Value Partners' asset management services offered in the country. In September 2016, VPAMS was granted a retail Licensed Fund Manager Company ("LFMC") license to carry out business in fund management with all types of investors. VPAMS aims to be a full-fledged asset management company in Singapore. It principally engages in providing segregated management services and offering a range of collective investment schemes to institutional investors and accredited investors. It also has an on-the-ground research team that conducts analysis on equity and fixed income securities in the region of Association of Southeast Asian Nations ("ASEAN") and Asia Pacific at large. VPAMS extends the value-investing capabilities of Value Partners, adopting an intensive fundamental approach to develop proprietary research and originate investment ideas from undervalued securities. Whilst offering investment management services in Singapore, VPAMS also markets collective investment schemes managed by its affiliates - Value Partners Limited and Value Partners Hong Kong Limited - to institutional investors, and may also reach out to potential accredited investors through appointed distributors or private banks in Singapore.
