We’ve come a long way since Ardent Financial Services was first established in 1999. Bought out by one of the existing partners, Michael Oglesby, and new partner Stuart Keith in 2003, our rapid growth led to two new advisors, Gary O’Brien and Mark Fisher, joining the ranks in 2005. Within the company there was a growing sense that a fully independent offering would be more appealing to many of our clients. So in 2006, we launched our sister company, Ardent IFA Ltd, and took the unusual step of offering a service completely independent of any product providers or networks. The risk paid off and Ardent IFA Ltd grew successfully alongside the original firm. With independence and client-focus at our core, Ardent Financial Services ceased trading and, in 2010, we changed our name to Ardent Financial Planning. We believe independence is key and value being able to build our client solutions from scratch. In January 2013, fee-based financial advice became compulsory so we’re glad to have led the way. From our base in the beautiful city of York, our directors and their dedicated team of finance professionals will continue to evolve to meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
