Credit Immobilier de France is one of the leading institutions spe­cialised exclusively in the distribution of residential mortgages loans with new production totalling over 6.35 billion Euros in 2008. CIF has developed a unique range of personalised products for its target clientele of home buyers and distributes mortgage loans through its 14 operating regional subsidiaries and BPI, and a vast network of part­ners and distributors spanning the whole of France. The group`s loan portfolio totalled 28 billion Euros at the 31st of December 2007. Crщdit Immobilier de France Dщveloppement (CIFD), the holding company of the group holds a 51% controlling interest in each of the 14 operating regional financial subsidiaries and wholly owns Banque Patrimoine et Immobilier. As well, CIFD owns 100% of Caisse Centrale du Crщdit Immobilier de France (3CIF), the banking subsidiary which aim is to refinance together with CIF Euromortgage, the Sociщtщ de Crщdit Foncier of the group CIF`s mortgage loans portfolio, and to provide the group with all the derivative instruments for hedging purpose. In particular, 3CIF raises the Group`s medium and long-term resources through public and private placements. CIFD also owns 100% of CIF Euromortgage that was set up in 2001 in order to complement 3CIF as an additional refinancing instrument for the group. Since 2001, CIF Euromortgage has raised over 22 billion Euros through Obligations Fonciшres (French covered bond) issues rated AAA.
