We are specialists in long-term financing with institutional customers. Public-sector lending is the main focus of our business activities. Loans to central, regional and local authorities and to public-sector banks dominate our well diversified overall portfolio. Our borrowers have an above-average credit standing thanks to the high selection standards we set. We began only a few years ago to build up property finance as the second pillar of our business operations. Today, it accounts for 10% of our aggregate business volume. Our bank concentrates on complex, large-scale loans in Germany and abroad. We do not engage in retail banking. Our operations are for the most part funded through public-sector Pfandbriefe. We issue mortgage Pfandbriefe and unsecured bonds on a smaller scale. We see ourselves as a flexible, efficient tap issuer on the German and the international capital market. The type, terms and volume of our issues are geared to the specific needs of our investors. Modern risk management and risk controlling is a further foundation of our success. We are seeking to achieve a top position in the risk rating of lending and trading transactions.
