Klane Wealth Management, LLC was founded by Steve Klane MPA, CPA/PFS in 2003 to provide clients with holistic wealth management that integrates income tax advice and planning, estate tax advice and planning, and investment advice and planning. After counseling clients as a CPA tax advisor for over 20 years, Steve became licensed as a Register Investment Advisor in order to offer clients an academically–based approach to growing and maintaining their wealth throughout their lifetime. All of the clients of Klane Wealth Management, LLC are also clients of Steve’s affiliated CPA accounting firm, Klane & Associates, LLC. By providing clients with sophisticated tax and estate planning compliance, advice, and planning, Steve offers his wealth management clients a highly valued combination of professional skills that few investment advisors can offer. Steve graduated in 1979 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors in Accounting. He graduated in 1983 from the University of Texas- Austin with a Master of Professional Accounting-Tax. He is a licensed CPA and Registered Investment Advisor in the State of Minnesota. Steve has taught accounting and tax courses for the University of Texas, Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Hennepin County Bar Association. Steve has been interviewed by the New York Times, Minneapolis Star Tribune, KARE 11 Sunrise, and various radio stations. He is married for 27 years and has 3 grown children. He learned the art of client service from his father, who had his own CPA firm for thirty years. Some clients have been served by Steve or his father for more than 45 years. Steve has a daughter who is also a CPA and is currently working for an international CPA firm in Mexico City, Mexico—at least for now.
