Rural Bank of Taal, Inc.

It was on December 5, 1963 when the Rural Bank of Taal, Inc. was weaned from the original Rural Bank of Taal-Lemery, Inc. founded in 1957. Both rural banks were established to rescue the community populace from the claws of the loan sharks. Incorporators of the bank were nine (9) concerned citizens of Taal – the late Doña Natividad de las Alas, Atty. Herminio M. Alcasid, Mrs. Natividad P, Mayuga, the late Mrs. Emiliana N. Tamayo, the late Miss Alejandra N. Mariño, Mrs. Blanca B. Biscocho, the late Mrs. Consuelo Salazar, the late Mr. Florentino Enriques and the late Mr. Jose Noche. The first set of the Board of Directors were the late Doña Natividad de las Alas who served as President/Chairman, Atty. Herminio M. Alcasid as Vice President/Director, Mrs. Natividad P. Mayuga as Treasurer/Director, the late Mrs. Emiliana N. Tamayo as Secretary/Director & the late Miss Alejandra N. MAriño as Managing Director. Presently situated on the main street of the Municipality of Taal, Batangas at the corner of F. Agoncillo and A. Bonifacio streets, the bank remains true to its commitment to improve the quality of life of the small “tao”.
