Leadership
Lawrence Brenninkmeijer, Deputy Chairman
Bregal Investments
Lawrence Brenninkmeijer is Deputy Chairman of Bregal Investments and a Non-Executive Director on the Board of COFRA Holding AG. Until recently, he also served as Chairman of the Board of Laudes Foundation and chaired the committee that guides the family owners’ private charitable endeavours.
Over his career, Lawrence has held several senior leadership roles at C&A, including Managing Director Turkey, VP Operations and Retail Financial Services Brazil, and CEO of C&A China. In 2017, Lawrence became Director of Strategy and Innovation at COFRA Holding AG, before leading the family talent programme and development across the Brenninkmeijer family enterprise. Lawrence holds a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences from the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. He lives in London with his wife and two daughters.
Jens Brenninkmeyer, Chief Strategy Officer
Bregal Investments
Jens Brenninkmeyer is Chief Strategy Officer at Bregal Investments, working across the platform to advance firm-wide strategy, lead organic and inorganic growth initiatives, and help build new investment products and distribution offerings. Prior to joining Bregal, Jens was a principal at Sixth Street, a global investment firm, where he focused on investing in software and financial technology companies. Prior to Sixth Street, Jens was an investment professional in Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Americas Special Situations Group.
Jens received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University, holding a BSBA in Finance and International Business.
Giselle Bright, Partner
Bregal Private Equity Partners
Giselle Bright is a Partner at Bregal Private Equity Partners. Prior to joining Bregal in 2012, Giselle worked at PPM Managers, where she was an Associate Director involved in fund and direct investments in Europe and Emerging Markets. Before that, she worked at Deloitte LLP for 6 years in the corporate finance and private equity funds group.
Giselle grew up in Portugal and received an Economics degree from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She has completed her CFA Level 1.
Jan Bruennler, Managing Partner
Bregal Milestone
Jan Bruennler is a Managing Partner of Bregal Milestone and a member of the firm’s investment committee. Prior to founding Bregal Milestone, Jan was a Partner at Makuria Investment Management, where he led investments in the equity and debt of European companies with a focus on growth companies and complex situations. Before his time at Makuria, Jan originated and invested in European equity and debt investments at Sculptor Capital (formerly known as Och-Ziff Capital Management). Jan began his career in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division in London, where he executed complex M&A and leveraged finance transactions across Europe.
Jan holds an M.A. in Finance from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
Alvar de Wolff, Managing Partner
Bregal Sphere
Alvar de Wolff is a Managing Partner of Bregal Sphere Nature. Alvar first joined Bregal in 2016, leading all ESG activities for the Bregal platform as the Head of ESG & Responsible Investing. Prior to joining Bregal, Alvar spent 10 years in private equity working for AAC Capital, where he built out their corporate social responsibility and ESG activities and was a member of the Responsible Investment Committee of the Dutch Venture Capital Association (NVP).
Alvar holds a Master's in Economics from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, where he wrote his thesis on the development of the European carbon markets.
Jan Faber, Managing Partner
Bregal Private Equity Partners
Jan Faber is a Managing Partner at Bregal Private Equity Partners. Prior to joining Bregal in 2004, Jan worked at Henderson Private Capital, the private equity division of Henderson Global Investors, where he was the head of the global private equity fund of funds business since 2000. Prior to joining Henderson, Jan was a private equity specialist for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington D.C. and was involved in managing a US$1 billion emerging markets private equity fund of funds program. Before IFC, Jan was a senior investment officer for FMO in the Netherlands where he co-founded the private equity group which was involved in direct and fund investments. Jan began his career as investment manager for Credit Lyonnais in their International Capital Markets Group.
Jan has a Masters in Management Science and Industrial Engineering from the University of Technology in Eindhoven.
Jennifer Fass, Chief People Officer
Bregal Investments
Jennifer Fass is the CPO of Bregal Investments where she supports Bregal Investments and each underlying fund. Prior to joining Bregal, Jen was the Executive Director and Head of Human Resources at CIFC Asset Management. During her tenure she was responsible for establishing and managing a global human resource platform. Prior to CIFC, she held senior Human Resources positions across various financial firms such as Brown Brothers Harriman, GCM Grosvenor, Regions Bank, and MetLife. She began her career at Merrill Lynch and has 18 years of HR experience.
Jennifer holds a BA in Communications from The University of Alabama and holds a MS in Human Resource Management from the University of Connecticut School of Business. She was inducted into the UCONN School of Business Hall of Fame as a student fellow. She holds both Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. She is a member of Chief.
Adam Fuller, Partner
Bregal Sagemount
Adam Fuller is a Partner and Co-founder at Bregal Sagemount and sits on the firm’s investment committee. He has over 20 years of experience investing in and advising bootstrapped technology companies that are profitable and growing and enjoys partnering with management teams to help support accelerated growth strategies. Throughout his career, Adam has focused his investments in three broad ecosystems, specifically: (1) Enterprise Software and Services, with investments in Orange Logic (active), FullStack Labs (active), MOBI (acquired by Tangoe), CyberArk (IPO), Nimsoft (acquired by CA), and AppSense (acquired by LANDESK); (2) Vertical Market Software and Services, with investments in MicroEdge (acquired by Blackbaud), Enprecis (acquired by QuestionPro); Keg Logistics (acquired by Seaport Capital), CambridgeSoft (acquired by PerkinElmer), American Traffic Solutions (acquired by Platinum Equity), and Imaging Advantage (acquired by Envision); and (3) Digital Commerce, with investments in Printful (active), BeyondMenu (active), BiteSquad (acquired by Waitr), and TradeGlobal (acquired by Singapore Post).
Prior to joining Bregal Sagemount, Adam spent five years as a member of the growth equity team at Goldman, Sachs & Co.’s Merchant Banking Division. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Adam was an Associate at Arbor Advisors, an investment bank focused on mergers & acquisitions advisory services for technology companies. Adam received a BA in Economics from Stanford University. He lives in Palo Alto, CA with his wife, Charlotte, and four daughters, Claire, Margaux, Elise, and Juliette.
Shea Goggin, Partner, Head of Capital Formation
Bregal Investments / Bregal Sagemount
Shea Goggin is a Managing Director at Bregal Investments and Head of Capital Formation at Bregal Sagemount, where he leads Fundraising and Investor Relations efforts. Prior to joining Bregal, Shea was a Global Co-Head of the Private Funds Group at Houlihan Lokey, where he advised numerous GPs including Bregal Sagemount. Before Houlihan Lokey, Shea was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Distribution at UBS’s Private Funds Group for over eleven years. Earlier in his career, Shea spent three years on the operating side at software company, Aleri Labs, after a four-year stint on the buyside at growth investor ABS Capital Partners. Shea began his career with Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown in the Consumer and Business Services investment banking group.
Shea holds a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.
Jillian Hazelton, Head of Marketing & Communications
Bregal Investments
Jill Hazelton is Head of Marketing & Communications for Bregal Investments where she oversees firmwide and marketing and communications initiatives for Bregal Investments and the underlying strategies. Prior to joining Bregal, Jill was the Communications Manager for Audax Private Equity. Before Audax, Jill held roles in investor relations, communications, and marketing at Natixis Investment Managers, Providence Equity Partners, Riverside Partners, and AGC Partners.
Jill received a M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and a B.S. from Bentley University.
Zuzana Klimackova, CFO, BU
Zuzana Klimackova is the CFO for Bregal Unternehmerkapital. Zuzana joined Bregal Capital (a part of the Bregal group) in 2013 as a financial controller and was primarily responsible for corporate and fund accounting for the firm. In April 2019, Zuzana transitioned internally to oversee the fund accounting team of Bregal Investments LLP before becoming the CFO for Bregal Unternehmerkapital in September 2024. Prior to joining Bregal, Zuzana worked as a Finance Manager at Hermes GPE LLP, and she started her Private Equity exposure at Augentius Fund Administration.
Zuzana is a qualified certified accountant (ACCA) and she completed her CFA Level 2. She holds a master’s degree in Accounting and Audit from the University of Economics in Bratislava.
