Our team
Mark E. Albrecht, CPA, CGMA – Managing Partner
Mark E. Albrecht is Chortek LLP’s Managing Partner. He previously led the Assurance and Accounting practice of the firm and has worked with a wide variety of clients in the manufacturing, distribution, service, and real estate industries. Mark works with clients to build and protect business value in the areas of mergers and acquisition projects including due diligence engagements, structuring transactions in order to maximize the tax benefits, preparing companies for sale, exit planning, and transitioning businesses to family or management.
His nearly 40 years of experience provide him with the knowledge to consult with clients in the areas of improving operations and profitability, budget development, cost and financial analysis, forecasts and projections, internal controls, building effective management reporting systems, and finding financial resources for growth.
Mark’s favorite thing about his job is the relationships he builds with clients and other team members. He enjoys seeing team members grow in the field and loves it when he can help clients achieve their goals. Outside of work, he’s an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers and enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
Troy Campbell is an Assurance and Accounting Partner
Troy Campbell is an Assurance and Accounting Partner with Chortek and leads the Outsourced Accounting group. Troy believes in leveraging technology to make the outsourced accounting experience better for a variety of clients in the manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and construction industries. He also provides CFO services like financial review and budget planning for businesses. Many clients consider Troy their “outsourced CFO.”
In addition to making Partner, one of his proudest accomplishments is helping family-owned businesses and knowing they’re in a better position after working with Chortek. He enjoys being a problem solver for clients and helping them sleep better at night knowing that their business is taken care of.
Troy grew up in Iowa and developed a strong work ethic by working summer jobs on farms. Outside the office, he likes to travel, play golf, go to Brewers games, and spend time with his wife and their English Bulldog.
Scott Henkel, CPA, MST – Tax Partner
Scott Henkel is a Tax Partner with Chortek and is responsible for keeping the firm updated and trained on new tax laws and opportunities. He has experience in income taxation, tax planning, tax compliance, cost segregation studies, and R&D tax credits. Scott works to ensure that all of the firm’s clients meet their tax deadlines. He uses his knowledge of multi-state taxation to evaluate the potential tax impacts of business decisions on a multi-state and federal level for Chortek’s clients.
Scott’s favorite part of his job is building client relationships and helping them reach their financial goals. He enjoys going beyond the numbers and getting to know his clients and their future plans.
Outside of work, Scott is an avid hunter and fisherman and is a member of the Franklin Lions Club. He loves to travel (especially to warm weather destinations like Costa Rica) and once drove 157 mph in a Lamborghini on a Las Vegas racetrack.
Eric Neuman, Partner
Eric Neuman brings over 15 years of experience in public accounting. As a Partner in our Assurance Practice, he supports clients through transactions by providing buy-side and sell-side advisory and diligence services. Specializing in the manufacturing and distribution spaces, he leads assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. His expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and risk management ensures that clients receive thorough and insightful audit services. Building relationships with his clients is the foundation of his career at Chortek.
Eric obtained a Master of Science in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Committed to continuing professional development, he actively participates in industry associations to better serve as a trusted advisor for privately held businesses across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Throughout the year, he volunteers with organizations that make Southeastern Wisconsin a better place to live and work: Wisconsin Special Olympics, Meta House, The Journey House, Junior Achievement – Finance Park, FaB Wisconsin, Waukesha County Business Alliance, East Tosa Business Alliance, and the American Lung Association.
Michael Radtke, Tax Partner
Michael Radtke is a Tax Partner at Chortek. In his role, he collaborates with a team of professionals to serve as a trusted advisor to clients and strategic referral partners. With over 25 years of experience, he understands the value of building lasting relationships. Michael consults with clients in the areas of business and individual income tax compliance and planning for small to mid-size business entities and their entrepreneurial owners. He also assists clients with resolving inquiries from varying tax authorities.
If Michael wasn’t a practicing CPA, he believes he’d be a teacher. He brings a similar leadership style to his role at Chortek. Michael enjoys working with companies to provide clarity about their current value and how to increase it. One of his proudest achievements is earning his Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation.
In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and taking vacations together. Walt Disney World is one of their favorite destinations.
Julie Schroeder, Assurance and Accounting Partner
Julie Schroeder joined Chortek LLP in 2005 and serves as one of the Assurance and Accounting Partners. She provides a variety of services in her role including auditing and accounting and business consulting services. She also leads the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Group and is actively involved in recruiting and training.
Julie strives to get to know her clients’ businesses from the bottom up and enjoys helping them become more organized and streamlined. She likes the different challenges each client brings. For Julie, there is nothing more satisfying than solving her clients’ needs and putting the pieces together to form a complete picture.
Outside of the office, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and pets, gardening, reading, being outside, and taking trips with her nieces. Julie is active in her community and has enjoyed being a board member of several organizations.
Michael Senkbeil, CISSP, CISA – Managed IT Partner
Michael Senkbeil joined Chortek in 1997 and serves as partner in charge of managed IT services. His expertise lies in providing management advice in the areas of IT operations, cybersecurity, and cloud strategy.
One of his favorite parts of the job is earning the trust of business owners and managers and making IT function as a business asset rather than solely a necessary expense. He enjoys getting feedback from clients who see the noticeable benefits in increased efficiency and stability of their systems thanks to Chortek’s flat rate managed IT offering.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and pets (he and his family are animal lovers and have two dogs and four birds), working on home improvement projects, and is a certified National Ski Patroller and member of Ausblick Ski Club.
Rick Sovitzky, data analyst
Rick Sovitzky leads a dynamic team of accountants and data analysts providing outsourced accounting and advisory services to customers. The team provides timely and easy-to-understand operating and financial information to drive business decisions. Team members have strong experience in manufacturing but service customers in many other industry segments and non-profits. Cleaning up accounting ‘messes,’ automating processes through low code/no code solutions, using modern tools to visually tell meaningful financial and operational stories, and collaborating on dynamic financial forecasts are examples of services that Rick and his team enjoy providing customers. Helping business owners increase profits is particularly rewarding by ‘digging into the details’: understanding cost drivers, efficiencies/inefficiencies, part/job/project/work center profitability, collaboratively setting KPI targets, and discussing results. Rick is a C.P.A. with a master’s degree in IT Management (formerly known as Management Information Systems). He lives in Milwaukee and is a father of eight. Interests include all things international: mission, travel and business; windsurfing, cycling, running, and cross-country skiing.
