We invest growth equity capital in very select companies, for the long-term, in partnership with established management teams. Simply put, we invest for the long run and have never sold a company we own. Private equity funds typically have large bureaucratic institutions as their investors for a limited period, which forces the relatively quick re-sale of the business in 2-5 years. Strategic buyers are often competitors of the business and they typically sever the legacy of the business by resorting to significant cost-cutting, reductions, and eliminations.
